Approximate equipment and communication environment required for online participation

 

Please prepare a computer and communication environment that allows stable online participation.
(Even if the connection is unstable and you cannot participate or the communication is interrupted, refunds cannot be made. Please note that we will not be able to handle login failures due to an unstable communication environment on the day.)

 

Computer specs required to participate in an event on Zoom

 

★Please check if Zoom has been updated to the latest version.

 

★Required equipment

  • PC (8th generation Core i5 or higher with SSD is recommended.)

  • Speakers and microphones (the ones built into your computer can also be used)

  • Wired or wireless broadband internet connection

  • *Although it can be used in a 4G/LTE or Wi-Fi environment, we recommend using wired broadband.

  • Webcam (You can also use the one built into your computer.)

  • *It can be used without a camera, but the video chat function cannot be used.

  • macOS 10.9 or later

  • Windows 10

  • About Windows 8 or 8.1 Supported Browsers

  • Windows: IE11+, Edge12+, Firefox27+, Chrome30

  • Mac: Safari7, Firefox27+, Chrome30+

 

★Bandwidth requirements

  • Recommended bandwidth for webinar attendees:

  • For 1:1 video calls: 600 kbps (down) for high quality video and 1.2 Mbps (down) for HD video

  • Screen sharing only (no video thumbnail): 50~75kbps (down)

  • For screen sharing with video thumbnails: 50-150kbps (down)

  • For Audio VoiP: 60-80 kbps (downstream)

★ For group video calls:

  • 800kbps/1.0Mbps (up/down) for high quality video

  • For gallery view and/or 720p HD video: 1.5Mbps/1.5Mbps (up/down)

  • Receiving 1080p HD video requires 2.5mbps (up/down)

  • Sending 1080p HD video requires 3.0 Mbps (up/down)
