Since 2013
ground rule
Please cooperate in creating a safe space.
1. This society is neither fair nor equal to sexual minorities.
That is why this competition sends a positive message to sexual minorities. Rather than covering up the harsh conditions faced by sexual minorities, it is about clarifying the current situation and improving it.
In addition, we oppose all forms of discrimination based not only on sexual minorities, but also on the basis of gender, race, ethnicity, disability, origin, religion, etc. To protect the safety of participants, we will ask you to leave if you find discriminatory behavior, hate speech, or harassment.
If you see harassment, please intervene to stop it or ask nearby staff for help. If you feel that you are at risk of being harassed, please speak to a nearby staff member or volunteer. I will guide you to a safe place.
2. Please help us protect our privacy.
When combined, various pieces of information may be able to identify an individual, even if the name is not provided.
Photographs, screenshots, recordings, and audio recordings are prohibited during the breakout sessions. The tournament may record the results, but they will not be disclosed to the public without permission.
Please do not post personally identifiable information on Twitter, blogs, other SNS, or other places where many people can see it.
3. Be mindful of your own safety and the safety of others.
Take a break early when you're tired.
Depending on the subcommittee, there will be group work and discussions, but you are free to participate or not. If you are tired or don't want to talk, you can pass. Please do not overdo it and participate as much as possible at your own pace.
4. Respect what others say and their time.
Some people say they believe they are right. Even if you do not agree with the content, please listen to the end and then speak. Instead of criticizing each other, try to have a constructive exchange of opinions.
Deaf people and people with speech disabilities may need more time to speak. Be aware of your own pace and make sure the next speaker has finished speaking. Let's be conscious of using limited time equally.
5. Don't judge a person's gender by their appearance.
Avoid using gender-specific names such as him/her as much as possible, and try to call each other with "san". If you don't know the name, try describing the person in terms other than gender, such as "the person in red."
