Visualization of how inclusive communities should be

Three years after the corona pandemic, the way of life and community has changed. I felt that the deaf LGBTQ+ community was also affected and isolated, so as a deaf staff member of Pride House Tokyo Legacy, I welcomed a diverse range of visitors. Pride House Tokyo Legacy is a valuable place to visit at any time, but how to fill the gap between the city center and rural areas is a major issue.
The number of online events has increased and it has become easier to participate, but there are cases where information is not guaranteed and people give up. At Pride House Tokyo, we are proceeding on the premise that we will provide information security for all events. By transmitting such a model, I feel that it is a very important transmission that can visualize the way of community that does not exclude.

Kaede, Mika Imai and Kohei Nomura, who are in charge of Pride House Tokyo Legacy Deaf Day, will talk about how the future deaf LGBTQ + community should be from Japan, from various perspectives.

Message from the executive committee

Hello. Deaf LGBT Subcommittee. This is Yuu, who is in charge of the subcommittee. This time, I would like to talk to three of my acquaintances from the Pride House Tokyo "Deaf Day" team. All three are deaf and sexual minorities. It is also open and active. Recently, you have also created video works such as "Coda Ai no Uta" and "silent." For those of you who have not been involved in sign language for the deaf or hard of hearing until now, why not take this opportunity to take a peek into the world of sign language and the deaf.
Of course, for those who have been involved so far, what kind of form are you holding the event? Ask them to share their experiences. Also as a role model... I think I will hear an interesting story. I am also looking forward to. Please consider joining us. (Executive committee: Yu)
