Thorns lurking in everyday interactions...

In recent years, the discriminatory concept of “microaggression” has been attracting attention. This is a term that refers to unconscious discrimination that appears in vague, seemingly harmless behavior in contrast to overt and easy-to-understand discrimination. It is a very subtle remark or act that is very difficult to make an issue of because it is so subtly part of everyday interaction that it is difficult to use the term “discrimination” to talk about it. It is often uttered by good people and often goes unnoticed by the speaker himself or even by the listener. In recent years, there have been discussions that regard such remarks and actions as practices of discrimination, and categorize them as "microaggressions."

In this subcommittee, in order to deepen our understanding of microaggressions, we will talk about their forms, specific examples, damage, how to prevent them, and how to deal with them.

[Message from the speakers]
"Your Japanese is good." "Are you an international student?" "Is it because you speak clearly because you're Korean?" .

These are some of the microaggressions I've experienced. So far, I have mainly been thinking about racist and racist microaggressions. I would like to deepen with everyone about what to do when I have done something and what to do when I have been.
