The new coronavirus that appeared about three years ago has changed our daily lives significantly. The “National Conference on Medical, Welfare, and Education for Sexual Minorities” not only holds subcommittees and provides information, but also provides a place where participants can interact and create and nurture connections. I consider it a mission, but this time I had to give up on preparing a place where everyone could gather. Instead, I believe that it is a pleasure to be able to deliver information to more people than ever before by going online.

 

However, soon after the outbreak of the new coronavirus, self-help group meetings and various events were canceled or postponed, or started to be online. We are starting to hear voices such as "I'm not good at handling electronic devices, so I can't participate in online events" and "I don't have a sufficient communication environment to participate in online events." Apparently, going online eliminated the time and distance constraints, but it seemed that another constraint was born.

Therefore, as part of the guarantee of information for such people, we decided to set up a live viewing (online seminar) venue at this tournament. In the same way that we have provided sign language interpretation and simultaneous text interpretation (PC take) as information guarantees for people with hearing disabilities, and temporary childcare for those with infants, online participation is becoming more and more popular. We decided to provide opportunities for those who have difficulty to participate in the competition.

[Live viewing is not "live participation in the subcommittee"]

• Live viewing is an event that "simultaneously broadcasts the state of the online breakout session on the screen". As in the previous sessions, you will not be able to interact directly with the speakers of the breakout sessions or see sign language interpreters up close. Also, since it is not intended to interact with other participants, please keep conversations to a minimum.

• If you want to participate in live viewing, please check "Participate at live viewing venue" when purchasing tickets on Peatix. (※except for)

• Please note that live viewing will not be held for online exchange meetings and panel presentations.

• Due to the prevention of the new corona virus infection, the capacity is very low. If you are able to attend the breakout session on your own computer or smartphone, please refrain from participating in the live viewing for those who are not.

 

[Request to those who participate in the live viewing]

• If you are participating, please follow the staff's instructions to take your temperature, wear a mask, disinfect your fingers, etc.

• Please note that the staff may ask you to designate a seat or change your seat.

• If you are going to participate, please fill out the physical condition confirmation form.

• If you are a participant and suspect that you have been infected with the new coronavirus infection at a later date, or if you have been confirmed positive, please be sure to contact the tournament side.

• Please keep food and drink to a minimum in the venue.

 

[Participation at the live viewing venue may be refused]

• Participation at the live viewing venue will be refused if the new coronavirus or other infectious diseases that are expected to spread to participants are suspected due to the physical condition of the participants on the day or the contact status with positive people. Please note that there may be cases. (Please note that even in that case, we cannot refund paid tickets for the breakout sessions.)

• Due to the epidemic of the new coronavirus infection, the venue, Osaka Industrial Creation Hall, may not be available. In that case, please understand that the venue may be changed or the live viewing may be canceled if an alternative venue cannot be prepared. (Please note that even if the live viewing is canceled, we will not be able to refund paid tickets for the breakout sessions.)
